Supplier Quality Engineer

On behalf of one of our clients - a company within the Automotive industry, we are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing the interaction with suppliers, single or multiple;
• Performing official assessment of suppliers at quality level;
• Evaluate new suppliers based on piece price, quality, and financial status and select them based on the supplier manual directive;
• Visiting supplier facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures and processes;
• Understand, lead, and interpret all audits of the suppliers for compliance with Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) or VDA Standards;
• Conduct supplier quality control audits regularly to ensure suppliers and their supplies remain in compliance with the company and all automotive manufacturing and production standards;
• Participate in the creation of supplier management process;
  Reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications and assuring the product compliance to them;
• Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws;
• Participate in the evaluation of customer requirements about the Supplier quality processes and Supplier quality outputs;
• Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates;
• Maintain a supplier database and include performance evaluations and quality control audits in the database for in-house access by company, R&D, and manufacturing management personnel;

Job Requirements:

• University degree in Electronics, Automotive electronics, Automation, or another relevant field;
• 3+ years of experience;
• Experience in dealing with suppliers with negotiation and decision-making skills
• Excellent knowledge of IATF 16949, ASPICE, ISO26262, VDA 6.3 Standards
• Excellent communication and moderation skills. Ability to instruct, coach, and inspire others;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Previous experience within the Automotive Industry;
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
